I thought I was growing an onion…

Turns out I planted it completely wrong. 😂🧅

Today I’m taking apart a sprouted kitchen onion after learning that each section can become its own onion plant.

Meanwhile, the basil is bouncing back after pruning, the dill is growing again, the cilantro survived the storm, the peppers are covered in buds, and I spotted my very first tomato. 🍅🌱

Still learning. Still growing.

Thanks for being part of the journey.

  1. 🧅🐻 What's the biggest gardening mistake you've made?

I'm learning as I go, and apparently planting a whole onion wasn't exactly the expert method. 😂

Tell me something you learned the hard way!

  2. When I planted some from the kitchen whole they went straight to seeding. Which worked for me as I saved all the seeds I could for the following year. I didn't know you could do this. I thought it becomes their second year so they go to seed instead. Like how some plants require 2 years to go to seed.
