  1. Just a thought, but you know how these things go once someone gets into gardening, so why not just go big and merge the front curved bed and the tree ring bed into one big peninsula bed now and be done with it? You know that's where this is heading eventually anyway, right? 😄😁😆 That way, no one has to fuss and worry with fitting a mower or weedeater into that little strip of grass that will be left in between otherwise. Think of the possibilities!

  2. Everything looks fantastic! Does this area get afternoon shade? I’m thinking about the eclipse hydrangeas needing a break from our summer sun.

  3. Hi Jess 🌺. What a lovely job you've done in your friend's garden and your own! I love your choice of plants; they look amazing in the new bed, and you arranged the stones beautifully around its edges. Have a wonderful day! 🌺🌻🌷🌻🌺

  4. The extension looks great. I am sure once everything starts to grow it is going to look beautiful. You do an awesome job all the time.

  5. Why not put down the cardboard first? You can use bigger pieces and just cut holes where you want to plant. You make more work for yourself. It seems backwards.

  6. You have inspired me to get some of my plant hoard into the ground! Decided to plant one of my hardy hibiscus plants along with an oakleaf hydrangea and an Alstromeria plant in my front yard. Working on expanding my garden bed in my front yard. Working on getting rid of the majority of the grass.

  7. I started doing natural live edging about 15 years ago unless I'm in an area with lots of large tree roots. As we get into do more and planting flower beds tend to get bigger and bigger
