RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The Rapid City Interfaith Council hosted a day of youth service projects on Wednesday afternoon, bringing local young people together to give back across the community.

Participants first gathered at First United Methodist Church before splitting into teams and heading out to their assignments. Projects included gardening, spending time with local seniors and packing bags of groceries for those in need.

Organizers said the goal is to make service a regular part of life—especially for young people. The day is part of the council’s broader mission to connect different faith communities through service and provide practical help to neighbors throughout Rapid City.
