A hands-on gardening workshop is helping children learn about pollinators and the vital role they play in nature.

Dobbies Garden Centres is hosting its free Little Seedlings Club at its Cadnam branch on Sunday, June 7, with this month’s session focusing on pollinators and the insects that help gardens grow.

Guests will learn how plants spread and why pollinators are essential, and will create a ‘pollinators’ perfect pot’ to take home.

Nigel Lawton, plant buyer at Dobbies, said: “The busy world of pollinators is a fascinating topic for June’s Little Seedlings Club at our Cadnam store.

“Bugs and bees play a vital role in our ecosystem so it’s very important to attract these garden helpers to our green spaces.

“Seedlings Club is a great way to get children learning about nature and gardens this summer.”

Spaces can be booked at the Dobbies website.
