After having great success planting Coccinia sessifolia, Gerrardanthus lobatus, sinningia lineata, and Mormordica rostrata in my parents backyard (Central Florida) last year, I decided to take the chance to plant some of my Sinningia in the ground, as my mother needed some new plants to fill out what died to the cold anyway.

We had a record freeze this winter that really did a number, yet the aforementioned plants sustained no damage with only a light frost cloth, we also had a pretty nasty drought that just ended, which they also survived just fine.

The species I planted recently are: bullata, leucotricha, magnifica, macrostachya, piresiana, douglasii, werdermanii, and another lineata. Most of these I grew from seed.
