Is it pest related? Soil nutrients related? Sun? Absolutely nothing within my control?
Watered by every couple days when it's hot, but otherwise it should get plenty of water throughout the year thanks to seaside city in UK. It's mid heatwave and it managed to rain today.
Thank you!
Plant is in a bark and soil bed outside. It's in a very sunny spot, south facing and lit throughout the day but not directly after 4ish due to a tree at the end of the garden.
I hope thats enough info. Oh and UK, Plymouth, I don't know the type of strawberry as it was planted before I bought the house 2 years ago. I don't recall funky strawberry last year though.

Sometimes they are doomed to be deformed or maybe pests damaged it while it was growing. Do you see any aphids around and are the other strawberries alright?
