Vine growing on tree. Lance-looking leaves that are symmetrical. Woody growth. Last leaves in each compound leaf section are reddish in color but the leaves are mostly green. Looks like it’s strangling the trees it’s growing on. Located in New England.

That tree appears to be a ‘tree of Heaven,’ so feel free to get rid of that tree. It is invasive, and a host tree for the dreaded spotted lanternfly. I am having trouble seeing the vine, though. Let me try again.
if that vine kills the tree it will be doing you a favor. thats invasive tree of heaven, which aside from the ecological harms, also is known to fall down and crush structures when dead. It’s a danger to everyone around (be they critters or people) to have one that large.
EDIT: I think you are seeing tree of heaven leaves and assuming they’re the vine?
