The Chateau Diaries Episode 1082 ✨🏰✨

Escape to the chateau with ’The Chateau Diaries’ 🏰
This channel follows the adventures of chatelaine Stephanie in her French 16th century home, the Chateau de Lalande, in the heart of rural France ❤️
We share our life in this ancient chateau in the heart of the French countryside, and show you the diy, renovations, crafts, cooking and gardening that are needed to bring a home like this to life. It’s like a 21st century Downton Abbey!

A very special thank you to all of you who have become Patrons of the Chateau de Lalande. You have made The Chateau Diaries one of the top 400 Patreon accounts in the world, and have transformed not only our lives here, but the future of this beautiful chateau! I’m overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. On behalf of this beautiful chateau that will continue to survive and flourish because of you, thank you!!!

  1. My first house had a beautiful rose garden and I always wanted to replicate it and finally last year I had an area of grass taken up and planted a rose that I already had in a pot plus 4 David Austin roses alongside some lavender and it is starting to look lovely. The kings rose has already had about 6 blooms and the others are now in bud

  2. Davey is one of the most intelligent and most creative man I have (cannot say have met) but, have seen ! He seems to know exactly what is needed and when to make the landscape ,so beautiful and yet natural. Not fake ,or like it was over planned out , without any thought to what one sees when they really look out at the natural life around them, and one known, that we are in for real. Always love the,' Chelsey Flower Show!' Thank you Stephanie and Davey, as well as Philip. Love all the time you out into every single part of Chateau De LaLande and keep it growing more lovely each day! Cannot ever not also thank Natti, Marie, Pavlina and every single person who has been taking the time to work in the Gardens at Chateau De LaLande.!

Many grand ideas though we must say the Chelsea Flower Show has brought so much inspiration to all done at Lalande, within the money available, to do what needs to be done.

  3. There is nothing like nature, that helps us feel free, and able to 'breathe much better' and to realize there really is a heaven above and all around us!

  4. Another lovely video. I know it might be a big ask, but I would appreciate seeing the names of your favorite plants. There is one in the allium section that's low to the ground and bursts open like a fireworks in a soft pinky-mauve! WOW! I've never seen that and I'd LOVE a few in my garden!!! Does anyone reading here know the name, please?❣❣❣❣

  5. I like feisty Davey… nice to hear some honest feedback which goes a bit deeper than just saying everything was “wonderful”.

  6. Oh My Goodness I’ve Been Watching From Day One , Didn’t Know You Were In London, What An Awesome Flower Show, Well Done London and all The Gardeners 👌👍👏👏👏👏

  7. Having Lived In London For Years, I’ve Only Been Twice, But It’s Incredible,Lived Less then Seconds from it, The Happiness Watching People Purchase The Plant”s , on Saturday is Beautiful, Happiness, I Was Renting, So Unfortunately Future Plant 🌱 Where Not In My Mind Then , Ended Up in Africa 👌👍👍

  8. I have the Nectaroscordum bulgaricum. Here in Portland, Oregon it's almost too easy; I need to remove parts of the clumps as they increase. Hummingbirds love it.

  9. Thank you Stephanie your videos of Chelsea's show is amazing 😊
I agree with Davy the David Austin stand is the best always loved his rose's good choice Stephanie those roses will be amazing at the chateau 😊
The bottle brush is grown everywhere here in New Zealand ❤

  10. Oh how lucky we are, a yearly private tour of the Chelsea Flower Show, sitting in our arm chairs in wintry South Australia. Loved every minute of you last two vlogs, thank you Stephanie and Philip❤

  11. As a fellow architect, I love hearing Davy's take and I tend to agree with him. What gorgeous spaces he's chosen to show us. 🙂 Just love following you around the Chelsea Flower Show every year. x

  12. Well you’ve done it again, I feel I’ve been again, very much enjoy how you can bring the best out of people, really enjoyed Dave’s insights, putting the BBC to shame again. Next year I would love a longer series, although I understand it would be difficult, I really have loved them ❤

  13. Do you not think the show has become quite pretentious? I just read in the DT that a standard day pass is £122!! Who can afford that? I also just read that a multi-award winning gold medalist has received a lifetime ban for daring to criticise the RHS. That is cancel culture and speaks volumes about the organisation 😬😬.

  14. The Gabriel Oak rose is spectacular–named for the character of the shepherd who finally ends up marrying Bathsheba in Far From the Madding Crowd! My favorite actor playing the part was Alan Bates.

  15. Thank you so much for bringing us along to this flower show! I'm so glad Davy was along too! 💕

  16. Great to see Davey, and his tips on planting flowers and your walk together through the gardens was brilliant. Loved your outfit, and it wouldn't have been the same if you didn't buy a new dress.♥

  17. That South African Garden is very indicative of what is truly naturally on Table Mountain and surroundings. You can see all that "fynbos" grow naturally in the Botanical Gardens in Cape Town. Davie may want to go have a look one day . That is if he has not been there yet.

  18. The native Australian geranium is very sedate too. I was excited to identify it on my farm but I'm still to see one of its little flowers in bloom!

  19. The other name for bottlebrush is Callistemon, both names are fabulous 🙂 They are out at Christmas time (in my state at least), so very festive Christmas colours. I really want a pink one but not easily come by.
