Residents across Coventry are being urged to renew their garden waste subscriptions now to avoid bins going uncollected. Annual brown-lidded bin collections cost £40.
Permits will run from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027. Households have been told to sign up if they want collections to continue as bins will not be emptied unless the annual fee is paid.
Officials say the service is only available for domestic garden waste, and trade waste will not be accepted. Bins are collected fortnightly, although collections pause each year over the Christmas period.

Coventry City Council has kept the price at £40 per bin this year, with no increase introduced. Residents can pay online or by calling 08085 834333, with cash and cheque payments also accepted at Broadgate House.
Stickers will be posted within 10 working days of payment being received. Collections will only begin once the permit is displayed.
Crews will only empty brown-lidded bins if they are presented by 7am. Refunds will not be issued for missed collections during the sticker delivery period.
