I’ve grown strawberries before but never in a pot. Should I trim the runners? Whats the best practice for making these succeed? Desert climate. Gets water every night. In the shade of a tree so it doesn’t get the worst sun of the day. It’s mostly for my daughter learning how plants grow food. Otherwise we’d just grow them in ground if we really cared about yield.

How does it yield every year?
I’d definitely propagate the runners and have a bunch of different strawberry pots if the yield is worthwhile.
If you can hang another basket next to it you can propagate the runners. Others ways too but this would be sinple
