I have a dream of having a cut flower farm, but don’t have the perfect circumstances right now. I live in a townhouse and have a very small space. I’m mostly container gardening right now and only have one raised bed. I’m a beginner gardener and need all the help I can get! We’re working with what we have. I’m gonna get my acreage one day

  1. im tellin ya. you could fit 6-10 15 gallon pots (used, from the real local nursery- mine sells used 15 gal tree pots for 5 bucks that would cost 20 bucks at the big box) of potatoes along one fence line, grow grapes up that same fence which stem up behind the potato buckets. plant strawberries in literally everything corner between every pot. grow vertically- book shelves and tables will double the square footage, and give you free shade- which means you can diversify

build up. don't waste a single inch of vertical space. you can do it. having seen some people's driveway gardens in SoCal, i firmly believe that personal self sustenance in tiny spaces is absolutely doable.

  2. Zinnia grow everywhere. Even in a pot. They are a great cut flower, and pollinator flower. Plant seeds wherever there is grass.
