Good Morning !!! I use honey & tumeric. I use tumeric on my eggs with black pepper. Tumeric is something I've wanted to grow. I'll have to order me some. We had a good rain around 5 :45 this morning . Look's like were going to have quite a few day's of rain incoming ! Hope you have a good da !
Good Morning Kaye – Thanks for the demo on planting turmeric and ginger. I've grown ginger before and it got quite tall and did pretty well for not having a clue on how to grow it. The dragonfly clip is an interesting deterrent and hope you let us know how it works for you over time. I use Murphy's mosquito products which have worked very well for me. They have everything from wipes to candles for outdoors and don't smell like the other chemical stuff. Hope we actually see some of the rain you've gotten later this week…
Very helpful, thanks, Kaye.
I grew Ginger in a big pot when we lived in Florida. I did not take Turmeric back then. I wonder if I can grow each here in the desert without a lot of extra fuss? Maybe. My garden is mostly already planted and most OK with some looking great. Hard to grow cucumbers here for some reason. Year 1 I got 4 and none since after 4 years. I have one cucumber plant that lived so far here from seed to seedling and now blooming. Have three tomatoes growing on the vine. Have an artichoke I should have already harvested and it may be too open now. Corn about 2-4" tall. The Swiss Chard finally died – lasted about almost 15 months. Amazing. Hope your gardens there on your homestead do the best! You work hard! "Dragon fly" was fun, Kaye!
Your dragonfly buddy is a pretty cool idea.
