The Chelsea Flower Show is one of the most anticipated fixtures on the royal calendar each spring. Held annually on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea and hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society, the show has been a showcase for horticultural excellence since 1913, drawing visitors and exhibitors from around the world. Each year’s event attracts, on average, more than 150,000 visitors over five days, with the first two days reserved for members of the Royal Horticultural Society, which organizes the show.

The RHS was established in 1804 and has been staging flower shows since 1833, first in West London and later in Kensington before settling at its current Chelsea location in the early 20th century. King Charles was named as the royal patron of the RHS in 2024, taking over a role that his mother, Queen Elizabeth, held for 70 years until her death in 2022.
