Your laundry area upstairs is gorgeous. Just a tip, if you are getting hardwood for your home remodel, order as much as you need to replace for the entire project in one batch! We got hardwood for our home and did not get it for our foyer at the time we ordered all of it for the rest of the house. When we went to order for the foyer, they no longer made/carried it!! (What the heck, it was only a year later!!). Lesson learned. We went with a little lighter and a little darker for our foyer and put it in a herringbone pattern and it came out beautiful but I was really sweating what we were going to do!! Can't wait to see the rest of your remodel! It is looking GREAT!

How about lemon coral sedum in front of the buddleia? Not quite a boxwood hedge it could give a similar hedge-like vibe without competing with pink color of the dahlias. It would be so pretty!

Laura, are you sure marble stone can handle the washer going through spin cycle? Marble is not as strong as Granite and can crack easily, and I know my front loader washer does shake a bit when goes through spin cycle, specially with heavy loads like towels. Just food for thought.
I don't care for forsythia or azaleas due to the fact that when they aren't in bloom, they are just a plain bush 😒

U people claim to be faithful people devoted to the Lord, God did not create those loving creatures just for u to exploit them for eggs & for yor own entertainment & to keep them locked up in a boring cramped plantless coup!!! They need to forage &;it is so unfair of u to keep them locked up just b/c u guys are so concerned w/ everything being so pristine! Don't hav pet chickens then!! Or hav a big, designated area where they can get out & live the life they were created for. It just apaulls me to see these so called Christian people who say God created all things-to see those people especially treat God's creatures w/ such dismissal. Even tho she acknowledges them on camera, it does not mean that this family is doing right by those beloved creatures. It is soo unfair to them!! U r punishing & downright torturing them by keeping them couped up!!
Planting Issues: Hey Laura, you mentioned issues with the strawberry beds, root damage and dying plants. We’ve had the SAME EXACT ISSUE in beds where we used existing soil and the Bio-tone Starter. It apparently attracts insects, that damage the new roots, and kill the plant! Here’s what I found online, and hopefully will help with your planting:
Bio-tone Starter can attract pill bugs (roly-polies). The fertilizer contains organic ingredients and natural proteins that pill bugs are naturally drawn to as they feed on decaying organic matter.
