Put substantial work into lawn this year leveraging LCN products. Two rounds of flagship and pre-emergent, as well as soil fit as part of second application. Color looks nice, however still relatively unsatisfied with evenness and ability to stripe (leveraging Scag 30”, mowing at 3.5”). Any recommendations ahead of planned fall aeration / overseed?

  1. It looks really good. As a perfectionist myself, you will never be satisfied.

For me, I try to enjoy to process of making it better every year. I’ve had neighbors tell me that they would never have noticed the imperfections of my lawn if I had never pointed them out when they complimented it, and that’s kind of a point of pride.

I’ve genuinely considered just making my lawn into a putting green with the hope that I would be 100% happy with it, but I know myself better than that. There is always something to improve.

As for improving: Manure and over seeding. Dairy cow manure=10x topsoil

I too suffer from turf grass dysmorphia. Everyone says my lawn looks great. I’m like, eh, could be better. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t have any recommendations other than making it thicker, which you already plan on doing in the fall. Keep up the good work!

You need to use darker and more seed when you overseed to get that color to match up. Youre lawn should look better than a service that is there only 4-6 times a year.

It looks really good. From the pic it just looks like stuff is growing at different rates which will make it look clumpier and uneven. Probably just need to mow more often

Brother is it really worth it if your lawn causes cancer?
