First image is how I found them and second image is them after being moved…
I’m not really sure what kind of plant this is nor do I know where to post a thing like this, so if this isn’t the right sub i apologize!!
I’ve never taken care of plants before. Just today i took these little plants out of my dad’s truck because he left them without water for days.
Right now they’re on my porch, under shade. I dug in multiple places because I wasn’t sure what soil to use. First I tried digging around this mountain of… sand because at the bottom there was really dark dirt. but then I was like, isn’t this too sandy? and I dug near a tree trunk instead. There were some worms where the tree was, so maybe thats a good sign. Then I actually found some regular soil and put a little in it too.
Do they look okay? Or did I accidentally kill them…

You didn’t kill them. The two larger ones look like they might be cucurbit ( Melons, cucumbers, or pumpkin for example) you won’t know for sure until it starts getting its true leaves. The smaller one could be a pepper. I would put some more soil in them and cover them back up along the stem so none of that lighter color is showing, then put them in the sun they need as much light as possible, but check daily that their little pots haven’t dried out too much. If you let that smaller one dry too much in direct sun it will fry.
Good luck! 🙂
Those look like they might be squash or cucumber seedlings based on the cotyledons. Dont worry about the subreddit, this is fine.
