Proud, excited, and slightly scared are all the feelings I get when I see these two. My Monstrose Peruvian Apple Cactus and Peruvian Torch. I have recognized corking, changes in coloring and the tight colonies of spines and needles at the top which indicates healthy and new growth?! Again, so many feelings. No mushy or soft spots noted. I enjoy dusting them occasionally. The monstrose feels like a firm cucumber. The Peruvian torch seems to be firm but those needles make it challenging to test by hand.. any experts with words of wisdom or encouragement?

Lots of bright light from above to prevent elongation and depending on your zone, water sparingly but when you do water , water deeply! Your cactus look healthy and firm but if I was you I’d add more gritty soil to their pots so they can hold a bit more water since cactus can die from dry rot as well.
Dry rot caused by if you don’t water your cactus for many many year cause your cactus to starve and dry away just like when you don’t water your tomatoe plant. Dry death is more prone to ephytic cactus. So cereus is very hardy cactus you should water once or twice month or 5 Time a year.
