In today’s video, I am taking you on a mini tour of the backyard where I am wanting to expand the garden and create a whole new oasis experience. It is a very narrow area between the house and the stone retaining wall my husband has been installing. I think it will be incredibly romantic to have a winding pea gravel pathway leading us around the house with gorgeous Incrediball hydrangeas to the left and the right. The view of the greenhouse as you walk along is already so special but as this garden project develops, it is going to become breathtaking! To get it started in the right direction today I am planting out 4 Incrediball hydrangeas by @pwcolorchoice and talking you through our future plans! After making the shift in the flowerbeds, I had to remove a Walkers Low Nepeta, some Gaura, and a butterfly bush that I transplant out in other locations of the property. Nepeta is such a romantic pairing with roses, so I place it in the formal garden. I create a ring of Gaura around my birdbath in the cottage garden and the butterfly bush is added to the drift of butterfly bushes in the cottage garden as well. Everything is so lovely! We got a lot accomplished today and I’m so excited to see it all fill in!

Wondering which side of your house you wanted to plant Incredible Hydrangeas? Is it west? I was going to plant some on south side of my house and wondered if it would be to hot. Love your gardens! Very inspirational videos!
What a lovely side of your garden my parents had a Salix in there garden and it grew as the tag suggested very well it was really lovely a statement i would say my dad would try and trim it back but mum was having none of it, since they passed and we sold there house the owners now have kept it looking so good, it was a very special item, thanks Samantha for a lovely video xx
The hydrangea hedge is going to look great! I'm looking forward to seeing how you landscape the rest of that area and the hill. The rock wall is already impressive so should really make a statement when it's complete. I always get good ideas from your landscape designs.
So nice to see a gardener mean it when she says she has clay. I mean, it’s not nice per se for our sakes but I get a little perturbed when I’m watching a video and the gardener says they have “clay” but the spade is like a hot knife thru butter and it comes out nice, loose, and black in color. I try to give them benefit of the doubt sometimes thinking maybe they’re just planting in areas that they’ve cultivated and amended for years. But boy, let me tell ya’ I have clay! Like, it’s rock hard and red/orange in color like a terra cotta
Why not give the generous gardener an obelisk since she is looking so nice in that corner? Your Baby climbing the bridge. 🥰 Cuteeeeeeee …

I garden barefoot in Birkenstock’s too🤗 dirty feet but happy gardener🌸🌸
It’s amazing what you and your husband have done to that property. You should be proud!
Hi Samantha— I am new to your Channel. Do you have a septic system? What do you plant in the leech field? Can you make a patio of flat stones on top of the leech field? Your gardens are beautiful!❤
Another question: Do people grow gardenias there? They seem to be very difficult to grow.
If the willow reverts you can hard prune it. Which I would recommend in the Fall anyway. If you have any stray solid reverts just clip them off.
My 4 yo daughter loves watching your videos with me. She was so excited to see your daughters in the garden because she loves to garden too. She calls us the “Garden Girls”. She thinks your garden is so magical ♥️. The bridge and new arches have made it even more so!
Every is so pretty, Samantha. Your little garden helper is adorable.
I absolutely love your overalls and your hat. So cute! Deanna @gardensglory
