I planted a butterfly garden this year in an effort to help some native species and I am already learning so much about them! Host plants, nectar plants, ect. It started with Milkweed and now I have Turks Cap, Yarrow, Dill, and a few others… but years ago I somehow managed to get passion fruit vine in my yard (assuming birds as I did not plant it) and it grows along one of the fencelines and we have battled this vine ever since it showed up because it truly tries to spread EVERYWHERE! Well today I noticed a butterfly hanging around it and then found an egg later once it clicked what may have been happening! A Gulf Fritillary enjoying the passion fruit vine and laying eggs on their host plants 😍 The plant is now here to stay 😂
