Do you happen to own a Scott’s spreader

Oh my, am I really the first to say it? You got Scotts…ed!

  3. Scotts mini spreader. The broadcaster is set between the wheels and causes the product to get caught between them and stripe. The fix is to walk faster or get a better spreader such as the echo rb-60 or similar earthway/lesco spreader.

If you’re doing 3/4 of an acre or less, a pull handle release mechanism would be ok. Any more than that though and you’ll probably prefer a latch mechanism.

Whether this is another Scott’s issue or not, out of pure principal I will never buy anything Scott’s again. How can a company so large and successful continue to pedal their garbage products to people fully knowing how defective they are?

  5. Idk what Scott’s lawn actually looks like. But it has to look worse than anyone who has used his products. How can a brand be so shit with just about every product

  6. Scott’s mini spreader’s impeller is below the wheel height. If you walk too slow, the fertilizer doesn’t go up over the wheels, and will get caught in the wheels hallow core. They catch the fertilizer, and funnel it into the space between the wheels. This is how the lines you walk have extra fertilizer in them compared to the rest of the throw pattern.

Solution is to buy a different spreader. A good quality spreader is something you will use for the rest of your life, and maybe even pass it down to your kids in the will. 😁

Yes this has Scott’s spreader written all over it.
