An 81-year-old man says a wisteria plant he bought for £3 in 1975 has finally bloomed after more than five decades. Tom Daly, from Leighton Buzzard, planted the climbing plant outside his home and continued to care for it after moving house in 1990. Despite regular watering and feeding, the plant did not flower for decades before producing blooms in 2026. Tom said he was surprised to finally see it flower and joked it could be “worth putting in the Guinness Book of Records”.
