A man arrested Tuesday at a coffee shop in Winter Garden is accused of taking multiple video recordings of people using the women’s restroom there, according to police. Brian Larios-Perez, 19, faces charges of trespassing, criminal mischief at or below $200, and digital voyeurism, records show. Larios-Perez’s arrest affidavit states a woman at Axum Coffee called 911 that afternoon after seeing him “standing halfway inside the bathroom with his pants down,” adding she saw his penis and buttocks as he turned away from her and entered a handicap stall. When confronted by police, Larios-Perez allegedly changed his story multiple times, stating he didn’t know it was a women’s restroom before saying he was there to do schoolwork but needed to use the bathroom and later claiming that he was there to play games on his phone, according to the affidavit. The owner of the coffee shop soon identified Larios-Perez to police as “the same individual he had told to leave his property on multiple occasions” and connected him to an incident two months prior during which the owner allegedly found Larios-Perez in the men’s handicap restroom stall standing near holes above the toilet that gave a direct line of sight into the women’s handicap restroom stall, the affidavit states. The owner said he had since fixed the damage and sought to prosecute over it. Investigators looking through Larios-Perez’s phone reported finding “multiple video recordings of females using the restroom” with timestamps ranging from that day to April 3, according to the affidavit. Larios-Perez was taken to the Orange County Jail, where he was being held on $3,500 bond at the time of this report, booking records show.
