If the outer leaves are dried out yeah sure go ahead and water. I water my lithops all the time after realizing they truly do need 90% gritty inorganic.

I’d give them a little squirt now yeah, make sure their roots are active before you soak them.

I’ve actually slowly dumped them out of the medium and then did surgery to take off the outer leaves, but you have to be very careful I did rip off a whole root base so I might lose One. The one on the left has no roots. So I’m actually using an eye dropper to water around it and hope for root growth
Honestly, I wouldn’t water them. Yeah they’re done splitting but they still look quite plump on the top. They can go a very long time. Check out my post from yesterday where I repotted my big lithops. I’ve had it since November 2025, haven’t watered it at all, and it’s so happy that’s it’s splitting into twins!
