Why is my soil in my new garden full of bricks, rocks, screws and crap? Please help. Will it be a case of slowly picking it all out and replacing new soil over time? I know this side of the garden has two drains also.
Not to be facetious but, probably because someone dumped it all there at some point and didn’t care. You could leave it if you aren’t bothered and just want lawn. If you want to get it out I’d suggest ripping the plaster off and doing it properly, not a bit at a time, and replacing with decent top soil.

It looks like it had brick edging, I suspect I’ve time soil built up and is hiding ‘old garden’.
Equally new built it’s standard to have shite soil.

Not being funny but is that not over the top of the slabs?

How long ago was your house built?
