Weird the description did not post.

Everyone loved the rainbow stairs and whimsy front yard. This is the back yard!!
So we immediately got rid of the grass as soon as the snow was gone. We unfortunately did not have the cardboard needed to cover the yard. So we reserved it for the garden beds. This is the start of the garden. The entire yard will be used to grow food eventually. I got as many seeds in the ground as I could with the resources we had to spare! Next year I plan to triple the garden and add some peach trees.

Our dog is very allergic to grass, so she is very happy it’s gone. We have had 2 chip drops so far, we need a 3rd. Due to not putting cardboard down, some of the grass and weeds are coming through. So we are mentally preparing to order a 3rd and do that again!

But we spread some mushroom blocks down and got a couple flushes which was cool. We never have to mow, so that’s so nice!!

Just finished up a huge load here. I was so glad to be done with it. But it really looks great!
I am wondering when I should get another load!? It’s actually really nice to need some mulch and just go grab a bucket or 5.

A lot of work. Totally worth it.

Picture #11 is beautiful! Such gorgeous colors…and it’s eatable! That’s so awesome. It really makes a fantastic “flowerbed.” As crazy as that sounds…simply beautiful!
