Nothing should and really can be done. Anything stuffing or blocking will just make it harder for the trees natural compartmentalization to happen. Leave it be, this wound does not compromise the trees stability and may never will
Woodpeckers don’t put holes in healthy trees. Woody was just able to recognize that your tree was on the way out before you could.
Tree is already on it’s way out most likely with bore holes that deep which is why the woodpecker went for the gold. Let it run its course and itll serve as a home for them if they choose it.
