I believe that is the start of a wasp’s nest.

Speaking from experience, that is the start of a wasps nest and is better left well alone.

Omg well that’s a new fear unlocked for me. I had no idea wasps would even consider nesting there and now I’m going to have to give up my whole garden 😬

Ah hah thanks, I did have that sinking feeling.

Paper wasp nest. Always get them in my shed ranging from golf ball to midi football size.

Never really caused me a problem, just leave them to it.

I found one on a hydrangea plant we have on the patio near the house. It was attached to a leaf and the stem. It was about the size of a tennis ball.

I waited till late evening when the wasps were all inside and got a plastic zip lock bag over it, popped it off, sealed the bag and got rid of it that way.

  7. A benevolent queen wasp has chosen your garden as a place to raise her offspring, and you can now look forward to seeing them buzzing around the place and keeping plants free of pests all summer long.

Where did you get gunnera from? Big fines for letting that spread into the wild in the UK

Squirt washing up liquid on it, they will all die very quickly
