I always just root my pothos cuttings in water, but i hear sphagnum moss is a good option too. Rooting hormone will help but it isnt necessary tbh. Just make sure one node is submerged in water and it should start to grow roots. They can also live in water for a long time (i had one in just water for 4 years!)

I put cinnamon on the clipped parts and put them in a glass of water after the wounds crust a bit to avoid rot. The cinnamon is also growth stimulating . Direct light or grow light works wonders for cuttings as well
