guys I’ve tried so much and I’m not sure what to do. I received this gorgeous baby from a friend who grew her over a few years. it was in the original plastic pot she gave it to me in for about 4 months. after about a month in my apartment I noticed some browning on the leaves. I was definitely a bit slow to act but finally repotted her in February and soaked it in ACV for about 20 min before putting in terra cotta pot with new soil. the roots looked healthy, however I did not at all touch the soil the fig was originally potted in with the fungus. I started treating it with copper fungicide. I only spray it on the leaves as I read treating the soil can cause copper build up and kill the plant. I’ve treated it twice now with fungicide, fell off the recommended 7-10 day schedule but am going to treat it again today. in the past sprinkling cinnamon on the surface of the dirt has helped my plants tremendously. I have been putting a thin layer of ceylon cinnamon on the dirt but I feel like it’s just getting eaten by this fungus. should I clip the brown leaves off? should I repot this fig entirely? I’m not sure if with how porous terra cotta is, it’s just creating an environment for the fungus to thrive. should I keep spraying copper fungicide on the leaves and sprinkling cinnamon on the soil and hoping for the best?
I waited for a bit in between waterings but then the soil got too dry so I heavily watered my plant and now the fungus has (of course) spread with vehemence. any suggestions or insight on how to help my plant from hurting any longer or dying is extremely helpful! thank you xx ps please ignore the mess I’m in the process of moving
