It’s much bigger than regular garlic, but also milder in taste. I’m planting a few cloves from a bulb that my colleague sent me from Tasmania! #gardening #gardeningideas #gardeningtips #plants #cookinghacks

  1. I’m not sure what’s more concerning.. the fact that there is a giant garlic called elephant garlic or the fact that you have elephant garlic at your house but not regular garlic😭

  2. A garlic from moms garden had mutated. It was one solid piece of garlic. I'm still sad I just ate it. Could have saved billions of hours in kitchens all over the world.

  3. I want iiiit !!! I want to make a giant garlic bread with this garlic (☆▽☆)(≧▽≦)

  4. Fun fact: the giant garlic (scientific name Allium ampeloprasum Holmense) is not garlic, it is variety of leek 😊 that's why the flavour is different.

We call it "Garlic of the lovers" in Italy, cause of it is milder as you said

  5. I let this short play while washing my hands and didnt pay too much attention…
Anyway at the end of the video i was confused over what looked like pickled eggs and follow part two, then loops back to an elephant garlic and i was so confused why i thought i saw eggs
Those cloves are as big as eggs

  6. Elephant garlic has no flavor. The workers are also paid a lot less to pick it that’s why it’s rarely found in supermarkets

  7. Hard to find "EVERYWHERE"? 🤣🤣🤣
Find this Elephant garlic at my local Walmart (4 locations), Local Winn Dixie, AND Local Publix 😂😂😂
I think bcz you don't live in America it's not abundant for you to find and buy 😅

  8. All the food I could cook with this…..
I absolutely love eating garlic so getting my hands on this would be a dream come true!!

  9. In my experience, elephant garlic is much more mild than the normal shortneck/hardneck, so best not to use for normal garlic, at least if you aren't doing "just" garlic stuff

  10. You don't need to do any of that to plant garlic. It grows the same.

Just put them underground and they will grow. You can eat the purple flowers too if you let them grow flowers.

  11. You can find it at Walmart where I live. I like it for dishes I make for people who don’t like garlic much

  12. So, you're telling me that elephants grow these? I don't believe that for one minute.

  13. Time to throw it it in the garden to grow. Then infinite production as long as the soil is nutrient dense.
