I got this guy for free at an event 8 months ago, and I don’t have an original photo but I can say he’s definitely fuller. I don’t quite understand why the bottom leaves are purple? Is he not getting enough light? Do I need to repot? He sits by the sunniest windows in my house but I’m not sure if that adequate anymore since I did get him when I lived in a super sunny apartment. I typically don’t water until I see visible wrinkling in the leaves, and when I do water I typically sink drown him.

def needs more light but otherwise it looks fine
Watering is right, but it needs way more light. Many people don’t realize that indoor sun is rarely ever enough light for succulents… even a sunny south facing window. Windows reflect much more uv than people think.
It was grown under optimal conditions to achieve the purple color… either in full sun or under proper strong grow lights, so anything other than either of those just won’t be sufficient & it will continue to !etiolate
If you fix your lighting it can definitely still bounce back, but until you do the leaves will continue to grow smaller & distorted & it will keep stretching & getting weaker.
