I’ve three of different sizes and different directions/lightening etc and they have all taken this brown colouring, so I’m not sure is it a seasonal thing, or on account of the warmer weather , but following to see if others have a better idea

I would try pruning it back. Looks like it don’t get enough water at some stage or it got scorched by the sun. Evergreens sometimes do this! Prune back to the green parts and it’ll come back to life!

Tbh that tree is way too big for that space, so I think you should pull it out now.
The other two plants each side will take over, no need to fill in. You could always plant some annuals for this year to tide you over .

Arborvitae sometimes just die unexpectedly like this. They also do not regenerate from the brown dead branches. I would remove this now and plant something else. Try a golden yew for a similar colour and texture, you can trim it into a conical form if you like, and unlike conifers yew does regenerate from bare branches, so it can be cut back as needed.

It’s possibly in draught. Usually with ever greens once they are brown it’s dead yiu can try to cut off dead bits to give the rest of the tree a chance but highly unlikely the brown parts will return to normal

I’ve seen a lot of this over the last year around the place. Three died in my parents garden. The rest of the evergreens seem to be ok.
