I want to say iris? But no flowers at all… just deciding if I should pull and toss or possibly relocate. Thank you

Definitely iris. I see at least one flower bud right in the middle. I would leave them for now!

Yes iris. Sometimes they don’t flower for a long time. They like to be established for a few years sometimes. It took 10 years for the blank ones I got from my grandma to flower. They also like to be thinned occasionally. Which is how I get them. Others thin their patches and give them to me. Then I thin mine and give then to someone else.

It is iris. Be patient! It will be the big grand flowers. (I forget, is that bearded iris or Dutch iris? Anyway you’ve got the big-flowered ones)

If it has crowded itself or if that grass is bothering it, then it might not bloom well and you should look for a good time to divide it and replant it spaced out more, with compost and a mulch to keep the grass out.

Irises don’t bloom every year unless they’re super super happy. We have irises but I’ve only seen them bloom twice in 5 years …

My irises bloomed every year for the past 4 years until this year, as it had been a long time since i last divided them.

Irises should bloom every year. They do here in U.K.. Those are the bearded type. They prefer to have their rhizomes exposed to the sun.
The grass which is growing through it may be suppressing the bloom.
I’d wait till the bloom (there’s at least one in there) finishes.
Then lift them. Cut off the older rhizomes. Trim the leaves down to a couple of inches. Clear all the grass and replant them with the rhizomes at soil level.
Give them a good watering in and they should thrive.

Iris x germanica. Bearded Iris. I see a flower stalk in the back coming up!

You can move them easily thankfully. They transplant super well.

    Iris. My mother loved them.

Bearded iris. Might be too crowded to bloom. Might be planted too deep.

Lift with digging fork, divide, replant with rhizomes not fully covered.

Iris. I love irises. We have them all along the side of our walkways and breezeway.
