Hey everyone!
Figured it was time to introduce ourselves. We’re a small family up in rural New Brunswick slowly building our version of a homestead from raw land. Right now that mostly means clearing brush, learning as we go, making mistakes, rebuilding equipment, planning off-grid systems, and trying to turn a forest into something livable.
We’re especially interested in:
- off-grid power and solar
- road building and land prep
- gardening and food preservation
- raising animals
- affordable/self-built housing
- long-term self sufficiency
- balancing modern tech with old-school living
We’re not experts pretending to know everything. Honestly, half the fun has been figuring things out the hard way and learning from people who’ve already done it.
Looking forward to sharing progress, asking probably too many questions, and seeing what everyone else here is building.
