Just moved into a new home in February, these plants came with the house. So I know both about them. This bush was beautiful but is now looking ill. I believe it’s a dusty rose it’s very thorny. It started out as what looked like an intertwined darker plant now I can’t tell one from the other. What do I do? Just cut it all out or do I need to remove this? This plant gets plenty of sun although we did just get gutters so it’s not flooded with water like before.

Looks like powdery mildew or blight. There’s a subreddit community specifically geared toward roses. They may have better advice and info. I would start by removing all the affected parts and then treating with a fungicide or BioAdvanced all-in-one rose & flower spray. It’s toxic to pollinators and other beneficial insects, so apply in the evening or very early morning when pollinators aren’t active and weather is calm (no wind) to avoid overspray.
