I Built This Mother’s Day Garden Statue for Mom 💚

For this Mother’s Day build, we created a beautiful front-yard garden centerpiece inspired by a mother’s love. The goal was to turn a simple landscape bed into an emotional curb-appeal feature with a large green abstract family-inspired topiary sculpture, ornamental grass, fresh soil, clean mulch, decorative stones, and warm night lighting.
The build started by marking the front yard layout and shaping a curved landscape bed in front of the house. After the grass was removed, the soil was leveled and prepared for the sculpture foundation. A strong circular concrete base was installed in the center to support the large topiary structure.

Next, the oversized metal frame was mounted securely onto the base. The frame was shaped into a large seated family-inspired form, then covered with wire mesh to build the full sculpture shape. After the frame was ready, green topiary material was installed layer by layer until the full sculpture was covered. The surface was then trimmed and refined to create a soft, detailed greenery texture.

After the sculpture was finished, the landscaping started around the base. Ornamental grass was planted step by step around the sculpture, then fresh soil was added and pressed around each plant to hold it in place. White flowers and accent plants were added for a peaceful garden look. Dark mulch was spread evenly across the bed, and smooth river stones were placed around the curved border and circular base for a clean finished edge.

For the final reveal, warm landscape lights were added around the sculpture and garden bed to create a beautiful nighttime Mother’s Day glow. The finished front yard became a peaceful garden tribute with a cozy emotional look.
