I’m struggling to find the root flare on this swamp white oak I recently planted. Not sure if I uncovered too much?

Bro you are overthinking this to the max. The root flare is where the tree obviously changes color, so it’s like 6 inches off the ground at that point. Definitely should be planted way deeper. Not trying to sound condescending it’s just a little funny

You cant plant too high, the roots will establish if you take care of it. Ive seen plants root into the ground from containers and decide thats where theyll live forever now. Winter be damned. You CAN plant it to low though.

Legit thought this was a troll post after all the recent root flare shenanigans
