COA Coffee & Conversation welcomes Patrick MacRae, CEO of the Mount Desert Island Land & Garden Preserve for a conversation about gardens and cultural landscapes of Mount Desert Island and their significance to the broader world of built and natural landscapes. A tour of COA’s Beatrix Farrand Garden with head gardener, Barbara Meyers, will follow the session.

The Coffee & Conversation series features discussions between invited guests and College of the Atlantic faculty members, trustees, and friends summer, you are invited to join conversations with authors, scholars, artists, and thought leaders. The session are held every Tuesday morning from June 30 – September 1 at The Thomas J. Gates Center (Gates) on COA campus. Sessions are one hour long, and include a Q&A session. Coffee and pastries are served prior to each session.

The Coffee & Conversation series is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Registration opens May 1 for Champlain Society members, June 1 for the general public.
