Moved in a few months ago. Heard the last renters were big gardeners. Had some lettuce pop up around the yard 😹

Then had this pop up pretty quickly. To be honest I thought it was a weed and was ripping it out when suddenly out popped some potatoes(?) radishes beets?? Not sure lol! Can anyone help please?? I left the others in there, I’m not sure if they should be left in there longer until they’re ready for harvest?? Please help! I would like to start gardening but don’t know much. Guess this is a good time to learn!

When the vines die they are ready for harvest. Do not leave any behind or they can introduce potato virus in the soil.

Potatoes. If you leave some scattered, they’ll turn into more potato plants and give you more potatoes later. Harvest some, leave some. You don’t harvest until the greens of the plants die back.
