Not sure if this was the right flair to use but does anyone have any insight into what is happening with my Hoya Lacunosa (I believe that’s what she is anyways)? The plant overall seems healthy and has had a lot of new growth come in since spring began but this vine looks… different? But it doesn’t look like a peduncle either… so not sure what’s going on.

    Looks like the stems doubled/merged.

Was it a peduncle before? Because if so, congratulations, you’re a Hoya grandma and that’s a seed pod! If not, just a mutation.

Omg that’s so cool, your Hoya fasciated! It’s when a plants genes mutate and express as flattened, ribbon-like stems and sometimes leaves. You should totally leave it and watch how the leaves develop!

I think it’s fasciated or crested, the growth tip formed a line instead of a point. It happens a bunch with cactus and succulents. It’s weird to see it happening on a Hoya, but that’s what it looks like to me.
