My mom passed when I was a teenager, so Mother's Day is hard. My partner bought me this rose bush a few months ago (I picked it out because the colors reminded me of her), and it bloomed for the first time yesterday. She's here with me.

My mom died in 08, Mother’s Day has sucked for me since.
I hope that flower attracts a butterfly who will whisper a message of love to your mom, straight from your heart.

She is here with you. Definitely. There were some boysenberry plants for sale in a shop I was at on Saturday – they grew wild on our property when I was a kid, and my mom would make pies of them. I’m not even sure they’re native to where I live now. Haven’t seen them since childhood and nobody talks about them. Definitely a gift from her.
