Hey all!

I posted about two months ago seeking help for some yellowing leaves. I got a lot of good advice and a lot of encouragement and I just wanted to post an update because I was so grateful.

Here's the original post:

It turns out she was actually EXTREMELY root bound, as in roots had started coming out the bottom, etc (I didn't notice because I don't often lift up the pot and look under there). That's my bad for not noticing, I feel like a terrible plant parent, but I definitely won't let it happen again. I'm guessing it was a combination of her being so root bound that the leaves started yellowing, and she wasn't getting enough water cause it was just all roots in there. Unfortunately some of the lower leaves did continue to yellow

So my partner helped me get her out of her pot (had to destroy the pot to get her out which was quite an ordeal) and we put her in a 20 inch pot which I think is going to have to be the last one because she's extremely hard to lift now. Since then she's popped out two new beautiful leaves; the top one was not dead like I had feared, it was in fact just the cataphyll, and I felt like an idiot lol. I'm actually a little nervous because the latest one is SO much bigger than all her previous leaves (the top two in the pic are the newest for comparison and are touching so there's no trick of one being closer to the camera than the other or anything), I included a pic of my hand against it for some sort of scale.

Anyway, that's my update, thanks again to everyone for the help!

Edit: Oh damn, thanks for the award! I've never gotten one before, I'm proud that this is how I got my first one!
