Not every day off grid goes as planned… and that’s just the reality of building a tiny house in the Arizona desert.

We started the day working on trim around the doors of our tiny house build, but between the brutal heat and needing supplies, we found ourselves making yet another run into town. If you’ve ever lived off grid, you already know—nothing is ever a quick trip.

But instead of calling it a loss, we turned the day into something unexpected…

Out on the property sat an old fishing boat, abandoned in the desert and likely home to pack rats for years. So we dragged it out, cleaned it up, and gave it a new purpose.

Introducing… the SS Bonita 🌱🚤
Our newest raised garden bed and one of the most unique projects we’ve done out here so far.

This is off grid life—sometimes you don’t get much done on the house, but you still build something meaningful.

🌵 In this video:

* Tiny house trim work (or at least attempting to…)
* Off grid supply runs (they always take longer than you think)
* Beating the Arizona heat (or trying to)
* Turning an abandoned boat into a raised garden bed
* Starting our flower & vegetable project

If you’re thinking about living off grid, this is the side people don’t always show you.
