I'm wanting to build my first paludarium. I have this 20-gal hexagonal fish tank. Can I use this? All of the references I've seen for vertical setups have the door opening on the front, not on top like a fish tank.
Just looking for some help on how to start this project!

You can, but there’s a reason you mostly see front opening on vertical setups.
If you can switch it to a mesh top and have a LOT of air movement in that room it could work.
Here’s a novel idea… you could set it up as a fish tank 😃 (You can never have too many glass containers full of living stuff.)

I have this exact tank and also have struggled to decide what I want to do with it lol. I can tell you that they make very fun orchidariums. A paludarium could work, but maneuvering inside of this tank is tricky so you don’t want anything too deep that impedes your ability to reach the bottom.
Tldr: yes, you can, but it can be tricky to work in so you need to be a bit inventive with what you build. Long tweezers are your friend.
