Hey! I've had this plant for two weeks now. It gets light, but no direct sunlight. There is a leaf that turned yellow quickly and is drooping. Why is this happening?
When we buy plants this large it’s pretty common for it to shed leaves. We’ve just up ended its environment. Yellowing can be overwatering, too much moisture, or just an old leaf giving out. Make sure you give fertilizer to larger plants and I always like to include additives. Is the dirt always wet? Does the plant prefer this? Does it like a south or west window. And how far is the placement from the window. Most of my elephant ears or alocasias I grow in a corner window. That’s both an east and north facing window. They get early morning bright indirect light usually on my dress on the other side of the room. But again it’s depending on many factors from environment to care. What else do you observe from soil and drainage. How often do you water?

If it’s on older leaves it could be Magnesium deficiency. Just use Epsom salt and it’ll be fine long term.

Its an old leaf. They drop them because the stem grows so large that the leaf can’t physically continue growing on it (it rips near the stem).
So no need to do anything, let it yellow out and snap it off when it has dried out.
