    I have the same problem. But I also think it could be user error. I might be overlapping to much.

    I will give it a couple weeks and all should be good.

    Throw out your Scott’s spreader. Instead, stab your bag of fertilizer with a fork a few times and sprint around your lawn. 60% of the time it works every time.

    Put it on half rate and then spread in two different directions (front to back/side to side).

    Yep, I made that mistake the first year with my home. Scotts stupid design kicks it straight into the wheels\frame and drops lines of fert.

    I just kept watering mine and it eventually wasn’t as noticeable.

    I got a Echo RB-60 and have been using that the last 5 years, love it.

    hose end sprayer with urea on empty spots will be ideal, 1/4 cup on max setting whatever brand

    i threw my scotts spreader out it got stuck constantly, installed fertigation on my sprinklers now i just pump water solubles, works well

    I upgraded to the echo and then left the edge guard on and got stripes so I’m an idiot. Haha

    Ooo you got served up a Scott’s Spreader Special. Taping and blocking wheels doesn’t help as the fertilizer is going to bounce off and gather too much right under walking path.

    Got two options to prevent going forward.
    1. Get a real spreader. Anything is better than Scott’s. I use an RB60
    2. If you have a 3d printer, you can print risers that loft the spreader plate.     Is this the drop spreader hand held spreader or the one where u push the has the edge guard ? I got the edge guard yesterday and used it today so hope mine turns out better. I did walk a little fast

    You know the dial settings on the bag? Use half that rate and do 2 passes. Problem solved.
