Slightly south of you and it’s 0C at night and keeps raining during the day but I’m sure in a week or two it’s going to be over 30 so I don’t even know what to plant (I wanted to plant more cool weather crops but then it rained…and rained…)
HeyPurityItsMeAgain
Same. At least it’s not snowing! This entire week is supposed to rain, though.
GingerIsTheBestSpice
It froze last night! Just barely, but still. Looks like my tomatoes will sort under grow lights another few days or a week!

I am in the same zone and feeling the same frustration. Can’t even harden off my plants because it rains almost every day or is too cold or both.

31F last night. Maybe next weekend!

It’s been an annoyingly cold spring. Only my asparagus is happy.

I’ve started hardening off small amounts of the things I believe can handle temperate trends. Also in 6A
Have a few peppers out so far, my dwarf tamarillos, and maypops

Same…wanting to plant tomatoes so bad, might have to wait until the end of the month since soil temps are still in the low 50s 😭

Yesterday in my 10b garden I had to do some hard trimming because my sages and lavenders were too lush and prolific to the point it was getting untidy.

4b agrees completely
so do my oversized peppers and tomatoes….they’re ready to walk out and plant themselves any day now

I don’t know if I understand the zones or im bad at gardening. Im in 6b and already have tomatoes in the ground, but im not sure what the difference is between a and b.

Could be worse. I planted out this weekend and tonight we’ll be teasing frosty temps. I will cry.

I’m ready, I am hardening off, I just have to have decent weather + time + energy.
Its been a strange spring, April was downright hot and then right as we moved into may we had a run of really cold nights. Trying to make sure those are passed so I held off this weekend.
ScarieltheMudmaid
I’m in 5 b so not even ready lol
WormCastings
Been gardening 20+ years in this zone, full garden always installed by now. Next weekend or bust for me lol.

First, how is anyone harvesting at this point? I’m in 7B myself. Am I doing something wrong?
Second, I just bought my first seed starter kit. Not entirely sure what the best approach will be but open to any advice people would like to share. Thank you in advance.
