I want to just be able to see my garden thats why i got them. I like the way they look. Will this work for them without being in a tent?

I have 2 seedling areas, one in a tent and one without a tent. There is not really any difference tbh. But the lights are bad for your eyes. So the tent can contain the lights. I have them all in a room with the door shut to avoid looking at them for too long.
Also try to special wear protective eye wear when you do view them

I was the same way until I tried a tent… it’s the heat being even and contained that made a difference, like 4x growth

No tent is fine. But you’ll want the light lowers than your lowest eye level. If you’re sitting in a chair by it or standing.

I don’t have room for a tent. I have two spider farmers hung over my kitchen table 😂

Leave the tent door open they don’t want increased humidity anyways 😎

Build your own enclosure and line it with mylar blankets (or fancier mylar if you wish) and you’ll be able to see in when the lights are running while keeping it enclosed and protecting your eyes.

Have you thought about or are you able to grow outside during the summer and bring inside during the winter?

Tents are really just there to hide bright lites at night, and somewhat for environmental/temp control. Like you can put a tent in a chilly basement and have a warm grow environment. Otherwise it doesn’t really matter if they’re in a tent or not. Plants around the perimeter of the tent would see SLIGHTLY brighter light from the reflective mylar but it’s a pretty minimal effect.

If you don’t want a tent don’t use one.
