This was my first attempt at making a paludarium and I’m pretty happy about it. I had this aquarium laying around so I thought why not!

Now here comes the problem, I don’t have a lid for this tank, so I need to make one myself. It needs to be heat resistant and let UVB light through.
I thought of putting magnetic tape on all edges and then put some mesh on top of it
Does anyone have a better idea?

Hinged lid with a mesh portion for the light – UVB doesn’t penetrate glass im afraid. Should be able to get epoxy to ‘glue’ the hinges in place

If you’re in the USA–many hardware stores will cut you a class top. I had one made for my aquarium. Quite nice.

Why not just make a window screen? Its easy to do. Some fiberglass mesh, window screen framing and a spleen shouldn’t run you too much and you can customize it however you want.

Window screen kits or cut glass at Lowes or Homedepot . You could get both and do half and half so that there is ventilation 🤷‍♂️
