Hi all, I started this pile a couple months ago. It's built up with a mixture of chicken manure/pine shavings, dead leaves, (safe) kitchen waste, grass clippings, and yes, my pee.
I haven't shoved my hand in there, and I don't have a thermometer (yet), but I don't think I've gotten it up to that high of a temp yet. There's definitely some level of breakdown happening.
I keep it covered with a tarp most of the time, turn it every couple weeks, and I'll water it in between if it seems dry on top.
Any tips for me beyond making it bigger?
